For many Bleach fans, the Thousand-Year Blood War is the series’ best story arc. It delivers plenty of explosive action and emotional payoffs, and unlike many other arcs, it features several high-profile character deaths, including Captain Commander Yamamoto. One of the only issues with the Thousand-Year Blood War arc is the fact that multiple characters survived when they should have died.
Some of the characters who should have died in the war played big roles earlier in the story, while others contributed virtually nothing to it. For the most part, these characters suffered injuries that should have been fatal, but they somehow survived and came back without any lasting issues. The real problem with these characters surviving is the fact that most of them contributed nothing to the final act, meaning they were saved for nothing.

Yushiro Shihoin Should Have Died From Askin’s Attacks
Yushiro is Yoruichi’s younger brother and the current head of the Shihoin Clan, one of the Soul Society’s Four Great Noble families. He may not be as fast as his sister, but he has mastered their clan’s martial arts style, and his spiritual energy is close to captain level. Despite his youth, Yushiro has already unlocked a fire-based Shunko that can injure a Royal Guard like Askin Nakk Le Vaar.
Yushiro accompanied the Gotei 13 to the Soul King’s Palace to help his sister, and he fought Askin while Yoruichi was staggered. Askin used his Schrift to become immune to Yoruichi’s attacks and shot him through the chest with multiple arrows. He was left to bleed out as the fighting continued, but somehow, he survived the blood loss and The Deathdealing’s poisonous effects. He was a pointless character who literally got in the way, so keeping him alive was unnecessary.

Kiyone Kotetsu Was Too Weak To Survive In The Soul King’s Palace
For most of Bleach‘s story, Kiyone was the co-3rd Seat officer of Squad 13, but she becomes the new Lieutenant of Squad 4 after the events of the Thousand-Year Blood War. She serves directly under her sister Isane. As a lieutenant, Kiyone possesses more spiritual energy than an ordinary Soul Reaper, but compared to other characters in her rank, she is still relatively weak.
When Kiyone goes to the Soul King’s Palace with the rest of the Gotei 13, Lille Barro, the leader of Yhwach’s Royal Guard, quickly picks her off. She was left with a major hole in her chest and collapsed immediately. This attack should have destroyed part of Kiyone’s heart, lungs, and spine. Even further, given Lille’s god-tier power, Kiyone should have died instantly, especially since she does not play a role in the story. Somehow, despite not receiving immediate medical treatment, she survived.

Liltotto Lamperd Should Not Have Survived the Injuries Yhwach Caused
Liltotto becomes the leader of the remaining Quincy after the war. As a former Sternritter, she is one of the strongest female characters at the end of TYBW. She lost some of her power after Yhwach used Auswahlen, but she can still use The Glutton to shift her jaw and eat virtually anything. She turned against Yhwach because of Auswahlen and followed the Soul Reapers to the Soul King’s Palace to kill him.
Liltotto was ultimately one-shotted by Yhwach, who was technically sleeping at the time. Based on the injury, most fans assumed Liltotto had died, especially since she was never seen again during the war. Yhwach vaporized subordinates for far less, so keeping her body around and allowing her to leave seems strange. If that were not enough, Yhwach was basically God when he attacked Liltotto, so there is no reason why she should have survived an attack that nearly cut her in half.

Rojuro Otoribashi Somehow Survived Having Part Of His Chest Vaporized

Rojuro was reinstated as the Captain of Squad 3 shortly after Aizen’s defeat, and he is still the squad’s captain after the war. During the second Sternritter invasion, Rojuro fought Mask de Masculine, a Sternritter who embraced the Luchador aesthetic. Rojuro used his Bankai against Mask, but the Sternritter countered it and shot a star-shaped laser through Rojuro’s chest.
Rojuro lost consciousness immediately, which is not surprising since Mask de Masculine vaporized part of his spine and portions of several internal organs. Not only did Rojuro survive the blast, but he was also up fighting a god-like being like Gerard Valkyrie a few hours later. Since Rojuro could not breathe, move, or circulate blood properly, it is a miracle that he survived long enough to get treated by Isane.

Tier Harribel Was Kept As A Prisoner For No Reason, Instead Of Being Destroyed By Yhwach
As the former 3rd Espada, Harribel was one of the strongest Arrancar in Aizen’s army, and she became the de facto ruler of Hueco Mundo after Aizen’s defeat. Harribel can create and control large quantities of water and fight a captain and two Visored at once without much difficulty. Aizen is one of the strongest beings in Bleach, and it took a slash from him to take Harribel down.
Prior to the events of the Thousand-Year Blood War, Harribel faced Yhwach, who is one of the most overpowered Shonen anime villains. She was one-shotted and suffered a serious head wound. Instead of finishing Harribel off, Yhwach kept her around as a prisoner even though she had no impact on the war. She is eventually freed off-screen and returns to Hueco Mundo, where she rules alongside Nel, even though Nel should be ruling solo.

Izuru Kira Only Survived Because Of Captain Kurotsuchi’s Scientific Intervention
Izuru has been the Lieutenant of Squad 3 for a long time, and he continues to hold the position a decade after Yhwach’s defeat. In the opening moments of the initial Sternritter invasion, Bazz-B used Burner Finger One to blast a hole through Izuru’s body. Not only did Izuru lose his right arm in the blink of an eye, but almost half of his torso was also destroyed at the same time.
Most fans assumed Izuru was dead, but Captain Kurotsuchi saved him off-screen, using his scientific expertise to create Izuru’s new arm. Izuru still has a gaping hole in his body, but Kurotsuchi installed some black rods into his torso to make the hole slightly less noticeable. Apparently, these rods make up for the fact that a good chunk of Izuru’s spine and several of his vital organs were destroyed. This should have been an instant death, but somehow Izuru survived long enough to be saved.

Byakuya Kuchiki Should Have Died While Facing As Nodt

Byakuya is the Captain of Squad 6, and he has defeated two Espada and multiple Sternritters over the course of the series. During the first invasion, Byakuya had his Bankai stolen by As Nodt, who quickly used it against him. Senbonzakura Kageyoshi initially manifests as millions of blade fragments that are designed to tear an opponent apart, and Byakuya took multiple direct hits from it.
In the end, Byakuya’s entire body and several of his organs were heavily lacerated. He pleaded with Ichigo to save the Soul Society, and his Zanpakuto shattered moments later. This typically implies that the Zanpakuto’s Soul Reaper has died. Byakuya’s death would have been a pivotal moment for Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji, but the moment never came. Not only did Byakuya survive, he was fully healed at the Soul King’s Palace and received a major power-up.

Ichibe Hyosube Should Have Stayed Dead After Yhwach Destroyed His Body
Ichibe is the leader of Squad 0, an elite group of five Soul Reapers who are said to be more powerful than the entire Gotei 13 combined. This makes Ichibe one of the strongest Soul Reapers of all time. His power revolves around names, and as a result, he can take away a person’s name and abilities, gain every power in existence, and rename someone to weaken or empower them.
Ichibe fought Yhwach one-on-one in the Soul King’s Palace. He overpowered him at first, but things changed when Yhwach regained The Almighty, which allowed him to counter Ichibe’s abilities. Yhwach blew Ichibe’s body apart, an act that officially killed him. When Ichigo arrived on the scene, he brought Ichibe back to life by saying his name. This was an absurd way to bring Ichibe back, especially since he does not help the Gotei 13 afterwards; he just stays out of the fight. If that were the case, there was no point in resurrecting him.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
